Requesting postponement income tax return

If you do not request a postponement and do not submit you income tax return on time, you run the risk of a fine and a high income tax assessment. Because it is impossible for bookkeepers to complete all income tax returns before May 1, we request a standard extension for our customers, as is customary. This postponement gives us until 1 May of the following year to submit your tax return.

We do ask you to complete the questionnaire in The Bookie Webapp before October 31, so that we have time to complete your income tax return before the new year begins.

Example, if we file your 2022 income tax return

  • Fiscal year 2022
    • January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022
  • Regular deadline Tax Authorities
    • April 30, 2023
  • Deadline The Bookie supply information Income tax in The Bookie Webapp
    • October 31, 2023
  • Extended deadline for Intermediaries (i.e. bookkeepers and accountants) with a postponement

Postponement

Did you have a subscription in the year for which we are reporting? Then your postponement will be requested by default.

Do you also have a tax partner and do you want us to file his/her tax return as well? Report this to your Bookie by April 30 at the latest. Then we will also apply for postponement and authorizations for that person.

Postpone later

Was your postponement accidentally not requested in time and did you receive a letter from the Tax and Customs Administration that your tax return was not filed before 1 May? Don't worry, as your accountant we can still request an extended postponement.

So do you receive a letter between 1 May and 31 August? Call us and we will request an extension. This is possible until September 1.
