General requirements
You meet the general requirements that apply to everyone.
Essential to Dutch Economy
Your work is of essential interest to the Dutch economy.
- For artists: this can be proven by including an invitation letter from a publicly funded cultural organisation that wants to include you in their upcoming programme or by showing that you received a grant from one of the public funds yourself.
KvK
You are registered in the Trade Register of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (in Dutch: Kamer van Koophandel). You can simply schedule a meeting online to register your company (or as a sole proriertor)
Requirements of profession
You meet the requirements to practise your profession or to start working as a self-employed person. This means that you have all the necessary permits.
Income Requirements
You meet the income requirements. This must be evident from your business plan.
Freelancer
If you are a freelancer, you must have one or more commissions in the Netherlands. Working as a freelancer means that you have no boss and accept separate commissions. When also working employed, please check the regulations as this can't be the majority of your income/time.
Healthcare
If you start working on a self-employed basis in the individual healthcare sector, you must be listed in the register of individual healthcare professionals, the BIG-register.

As an artist you need a prognosis for the next two years as one statement. We will see this as one prognosis and will charge only one document.
