Car | Business purchase and cost entry

How do I include my car in my business administration?

Whether you purchase a business or private one is a personal choice at the time of purchase. Here we explain the various considerations and link to a handy tool that can help you make a choice.

Proof of payment

If you purchase the car for business, the purchase is also a business expense. You can therefore include the expense in your administration and put it in The Bookie Webapp. Did you buy the car from a company or private person? In both cases a proof of the purchase is mandatory.

Registration number and date of admission

We would like to receive the registration number and the first date of admission (you could also see the year of construction). You can send this during the financial year or submit it via the checklist at the end of the year for your income tax return.

Costs

You may now add all costs (fuel, parking, maintenance, road tax, insurance) as business costs. In Q4 you pay an addition for the VAT and with the income tax for that financial year you pay an addition on the costs. Read here extensively which costs you can enter and how to do this properly. In this article you can also read how to enter business mileage or costs with a private car.
