Working with foreign clients

Does The Bookie also work with entrepreneurs who work with foreign clients?

Income

We'll take income from foreign assignments into account. A large proportion of our clients have foreign clients. When invoicing abroad, please make sure you know what the agreements are in terms of VAT. In The Bookie Webapp you can select whether the VAT in the Netherlands, inside or outside Europe has shifted. This means that the VAT will be paid by your client. Make sure that your client's VAT (vat) number is on the invoice.

Expenses

Foreign costs are regularly linked to this income (e.g. travel and accommodation expenses). As for reclaiming VAT on these costs, we are happy to explain them in more detail. Would you like to read what to think about when spending abroad? Then read this article.

Arrangements: reclaiming VAT

If you want, we can deduct this VAT in your foreign tax return or reclaim it from the EU country via the Dutch tax authorities. You can let your Bookie know if this is what you want, but this is only worth it in case of larger amounts as these hours are not included in the subscription.
