How do I cancel my Bookie subscription?

Quiting entrepreneurship or quiting The Bookie

You can change or cancel your subscription to the Bookie Webapp at any time. We can easily stop your subscription and change it to a light account called 'Alleen Boekhoudprogramma', which enables you to keep acces to your administration. You are however legaly obligated by Dutch law to keep a record of your administration for 7 years. We do that for you in the Bookie Webapp. This way you can  access your administration. But please always export your data. Read more below.

Time period to quit the Bookie

At The Bookie you pay for our services annualy with a fixed fee per year. Whether you start in December or Januari. Do you want us to do your quarterly VAT returns, your annual report and your income tax? Let us know what you want and we'll stop your subscription after your payment of December. This way we will still handle all of the above for you for that year. 

Do you want to stop your subscription earlier in the year? Please note that our services will stop immediately. 

Exporting data

We advice you to export your sent invoices and payed costs to your computer or cloud in an Excel or CSV file. You can do this under all invoices and all expenses, by clicking "export" and chosing the right file structure for you. 

You can ask your Bookie to send you a .zip file with all your invoices and receipts, with the same numbering as the CSV or Excel file. 

Please keep in mind that you have a legal obligation to keep your administration for 7 years. Please do so before you ask us to delete your account. 

Deleting your Bookie webapp account

You can email your Bookie to delete your account for you. We do this so no one deletes their account by accident. You can also mail us at info@thebookie.nl. We will delete your account within a week.
