In some cases, a mortgage provider, landlord, or lender may ask for a financial forecast. We’re happy to create one for you. Since this is not included in your standard subscription, there is an additional fee for this service.
Urgent request?
If you need your forecast quickly, we may be able to prioritize it. In consultation with your Bookie, we can sometimes schedule extra hours outside our regular work. Urgent requests are normally delivered within a month. But feel free to give us a call — we understand that sometimes things are time-sensitive.
Each forecast is tailored to your business, so there’s no standard template or quick export. This also means the required time varies. A typical forecast from us includes:
1–2 pages where your Bookie explains what your business does, where your income comes from, and what your expected expenses are.
A quarterly revenue graph.
A profit and loss statement.
A depreciation schedule if you’ve made or plan to make investments.
A balance sheet, if needed — although for most freelancers, the P&L alone is sufficient since the goal is to show expected profit.
How detailed the forecast will be depends on various factors. Some info we can extract from your existing bookkeeping (such as creditors, debtors, and investments). Additionally, we’ll need the following from you in advance:
Expected income
How many clients or types of projects you’re working on, and in which sectors.
Also: do you already have active projects, sent quotes, confirmed assignments, or issued invoices?
Expected expenses
We'll also look at your past and current spending.
Specific format?
If the institution requesting the forecast requires a specific layout or format, please send that along as well.
The time needed depends on the complexity of your business. The more clients, invoices, or expenses you have, the more time it will take. If the forecast can't be completed within the fixed price, your Bookie will contact you first.
